Jehan Ara is the Founder & CEO of Katalyst Labs, a Technology Startup Accelerator and an Innovation Hub. She is the former President of the Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT & ITES (P@SHA) where she served for 25 years and was involved in promoting the Pakistan tech industry locally and internationally. She was also the Founder of The Nest I/O – a Tech Startup Incubator which incubated 217 startup businesses. Katalyst Labs runs an acceleration program for startups and a Women Leaders Fellowship Program to build the capacity of women entrepreneurs and professionals and to help them create business networks. Katalyst Labs also runs two major conferences +92Disrupt, a startup conference and Karachi Slush’D, local chapter of the Helsinki-born global Slush’D startup movement.

She has served as a Member of the PM’s Advisory Council for IT & the Digital Economy. Jehan is also an Independent Director on the Board of the Central Depository Council, the Punjab IT Board, IDEAS, and the Sindh Digital Technology Board Governing Body. She is also on the World Bank Advisory Group on Gender and on the Steering Committee of the Women for Boards Initiative which works towards increasing the number of qualified and certified women on company boards. She is also on the Gender Advisory Council of the World Bank and a Member of the Prime Minister’s Taskforce on IT & Telecom. More recently, she has been appointed as a Member of the UK Pakistan Business Council and Member of the Board of Governors at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi. Jawwad Farid is a serial founder with 4 ventures, 5 books and one cross border exit to his name. He is also a Fellow of The Society of Actuaries, Columbia Business School and FAST NUCES alumni. Within the startup community his interest lies at the intersection of education, financial services, impact investments and teaching. He ran the financial modeling boot camp at Nest I/O, Katalyst Labs and was APICTA pitch mentor for Team Pakistan for 13 years. His own ventures specialized in compliance risk tech engines for financial services and teaching rocket science to ordinary mortals.

Jawwad taught at the SP Jain Global School of Management in Dubai and Singapore, at IBA and Habib University in Karachi. He currently splits his time between risk and actuarial consulting for insurance clients at Alchemy Technologies, and as a Professor of Practice at IBA, Karachi. The founder of BusCaro, Maha Shahzad is an industry leader with 13 years of experience building and growing startups from the ground up. Aatif Awan is the Founder and Managing Partner of Indus Valley Capital, a leading early-stage VC fund focused on Pakistan. Aatif has spearheaded the first investment rounds for some of the country’s most exciting startups, from Atoms, Bazaar, to AimFit, and continues to serve on their boards.

Before Indus Valley Capital, Aatif was the VP of Growth & International at LinkedIn, where he led the team responsible for expanding the network by half a billion members and played a key role in the $26 billion acquisition by Microsoft.

She is a seasoned entrepreneur and financial inclusion expert with over 13 years of experience in digital finance, risk management, and microfinance. She founded Tez Financial Services, Pakistan’s first fintech to obtain an NBFC license, and CheckIn Solutions. Under her leadership, Tez pioneered lending for unbanked communities and became the first Pakistani fintech to achieve an M&A milestone when acquired by Zood in 2022. She is also the former Chief Executive Officer at Zood Pakistan where she was leading Zood’s Pakistan operations and global projects. Naureen has also shaped financial inclusion policies through board roles and collaborations with regulators and global organizations. Naureen has also contributed to women’s empowerment and reproductive health via the Pakistan Society for Planned Parenthood. Internationally recognized by Forbes, Reuters, and the Women in Fintech Powerlist, Naureen studied Inclusive Finance at Harvard Business School and is affiliated with the CFA program, reflecting her deep commitment to expanding financial access.

Junaid Iqbal is the founder of Salt Ventures and former Managing Director at Careem Pakistan. He played a key role in scaling Careem across the region and later led its fintech arm, Careem Pay. With over 20 years of experience in tech, media, and finance, Junaid has invested in early-stage startups and has also served as a judge on Shark Tank Pakistan, making him a valuable voice in the startup ecosystem. He is currently also hosting a podcast called “Pakistan & Counting” mainly covering subjects on financial management/investing, business, economy and entrepreneurship.

Misbah Naqvi is Co-Founder and General Partner at i2i Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund, focused on high-growth tech startups addressing big opportunities in Pakistan, and the country’s first female-founded VC fund. i2i Ventures has 13 active companies in its portfolio, across fintech, e-commerce, logistics, B2B SaaS and edtech, led by strong founders with a bold vision.

Misbah has over 26 years of global experience in finance, spanning venture investing, corporate finance, entrepreneurship, impact investing, fintech and development in Pakistan and the US.

She is a Certified Director by the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and is a Board Member at Invest2Innovate, (i2i Ventures sister company and a startup ecosystem support organization), Edkasa (Pvt) Ltd, CreditBook Financial Services, and Oraan Tech Pvt Ltd. She was previously on the board of U Microfinance Bank, a leading microfinance institution in Pakistan.

Misbah is also a Trustee on the Board of AAS, a non-profit supporting children and adults suffering from addiction and  is on the Advisory Board of NOWPDP, a leading disability inclusion organization in Pakistan.

Faisal Aftab is a Pakistani-American venture capitalist and Founder of Zayn VC, backing category leading startups such as NayaPay, Haball, PostEx, Abhi, AdalFi, Krave Mart, Bookme, Bazaar, and Laam. With 25+ years in global finance and technology, he has led two of the country’s top VC funds, built a portfolio that has raised over $500M in debt and equity, and is the first Shark on Shark Tank Pakistan. An Oxford graduate, he is also recognized in Forbes and among LinkedIn’s Top 200 Global VC Voices.

Maheen Adamjee is the co-founder and CEO of Dot & Line which is an education-technology platform. Today, Dot and Line is an online marketplace which has teachers and students in 14 countries. She is a graduate from the London School of Economics (LSE), an award-winning journalist and educationalist. Maheen serves on boards of various companies and was a featured speaker at the World Bank conference in Washington DC.

Aly El Shalakany is serial investor, writer and former lawyer. Aly is currently a Venture Partner with A-typical Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm in Qatar backed by QIA that invests across the Middle East.

Prior to joining A-typical Ventures, Aly was the Managing Director for Egypt and North Africa at 54 Collective, Africa’s most active, hands-on, early-stage venture capital investor, the Managing Partner of Acasia Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in early stage tech and tech enabled startups in the Middle East and Africa, as well as the cofounder of the Acasia Group (formerly the Cairo Angels), one the leading startup support and enabling organizations in the Middle East and Africa. Asma Salman Omer is the co-founder and COO of Marham.pk, Pakistan’s leading digital health platform dedicated to improving healthcare access. As an entrepreneur with a software engineering and UX design background, Asma blends technology and community building to make Marham a beacon of hope for those battling illnesses. Saad Farrukh began his career after his MBA by growing his family’s auto parts distribution network. In 2017, he shifted to manufacturing, co-founding Fusion Engineering, to produce tricycles.

After a challenging launch in the tricycle market, Saad Farrukh leveraged his knowledge of the two/three-wheeler segment to launch evee electric scooters in March 2023. The launch was transformational, driving an exponential increase in sales from 45 to over 4,000 units monthly in just two and a half years. Now the largest Electric Scooter Manufacturer in Pakistan, the company has grown its team to over 200, secured key investment, and successfully built an environmentally conscious market, with 20% of sales revenue coming from female consumers.

Anusheh Tahir is the Founder of ShehNoor, a contemporary jewelry label redefining luxury imitation and fine jewelry in Pakistan. A graduate in International Development, Anusheh’s journey into jewelry design began purely from passion rather than formal training, a lifelong fascination with adornment and artistry that evolved into a brand deeply rooted in heritage and craftsmanship.

Sabah Bano Malik is a comedian, multi medium journalist and content creator. Working across print, digital, and radio media for over 10 years, both behind and in front of the camera, she has found her voice in smart, sharp cultural critique, especially where culture, patriarchy and misogyny intersect. Known for her humorous and passionate videos where no topic is off limits, Sabah uses her platform to amplify women’s rights and minority issues and to push back against cultural barriers that keep critical conversations from happening. She is also the host of Full Disclosure on CityFM89, a show she has helmed for the past seven years.

Abdullah Rafique is the co-founder and CTO at Vyro. He co-founded Vyro in 2018 during his time as an undergraduate student at NUST. The decision to build Vyro full-time emerged as a result of his internship at Google Singapore during the sophomore year. Abdullah realized the thrill of building a venture from the ground up. Over the past 8 years, Vyro has grown into a leading AI/ML-powered technology company in the content creation space. Amneh Shaikh Farooqui is a social entrepreneur and activist with 20 years of experience in Pakistan’s impact sector. She has led teams across women empowerment, entrepreneurship, sustainability, climate, cultural and consulting sectors. Her work centers on amplifying marginalized voices, storytelling for change, and empowering people to lead authentically. Amneh is passionate about helping women and young people to unlock their potential and fostering diverse leadership. She chairs and curates the Women of the World festivals in Pakistan, founded Polly and Other Stories, and is CSO of The Blue Company. An Acumen, Miller Center, and IVLP fellow, she is also the author of Fearless, profiling 50 remarkable Pakistani women.

Ibrahim Shaukat has spent over a decade building and scaling consumer brands in Pakistan’s DTC and e-commerce space.
He co-founded Dari Mooch, one of Pakistan’s leading men’s grooming brands. What began as a simple idea to solve a local gap in men’s grooming products grew into a nationwide brand. Under his leadership, the company expanded from a small online operation to a nationwide presence – stocked at major retailers such as Al-Fatah and Carrefour and opened multiple kiosks along with the Dari Mooch Barbershop.
After stepping down as CEO, Ibrahim now serves on the board of Dari Mooch and sits on multiple other boards. He works with consumer and e-commerce brands to help them scale profitably, focusing on brand positioning, operational efficiency, customer retention, and strategic clarity. He also partners with founders through a venture-builder model, co-developing new DTC and e-commerce businesses.
Originally from Faisalabad, Ibrahim completed his Bachelor’s and MA (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh Business School and later earned his Master’s in Analytics from American University (Washington, D.C.).

Amtul Baweja is an actor, comedian, entrepreneur, host, and content creator. Her online content revolves around multiple aspects such as comedy videos, some having social messages pertaining especially to women, fashion and lifestyle. She also creates content with her husband on her second platform called Patangeer that covers various niches such as travel, storytelling, cinematography, and creativity. She is also the co-founder of Patangeer Productions which is a boutique creative agency and production house where she functions behind the camera as a director and producer working on various projects such as making DVCs, documentaries, music videos and other digital and branded content. She also acted in Asim Abbasi’s feminist web series ‘Churails’. Furthermore, she is also a part of South-Asia’s first all-female comedy troupe ‘Khawatoons’. In addition to her other ventures, Amtul is also the co-founder of Third Culture Coffee Karachi and the e-commerce clothing brand ‘PRCH’.

Dr. Mohammad Azib is the Founder, CEO & CTO of MedAngle, the world’s first Agentic AI Super App for current and future doctors. Programming since the age of 7, he is Pakistan’s first ever medical doctor and full-stack engineer. Dr. Azib is also the founder of Premed Network and MedGPT. He is a graduate from Dow University of Health Sciences and holds a certificate from the Stanford Graduate School of Business Seed Spark Program, along with being the first Pakistani Transcend Fellow and a Forbes 30 under 30 semifinalist.

Hiba Mehmood is the founder of WedWel.com, a digital platform and community dedicated to helping brides-to-be all over the world tackle the intimidating process of South Asian wedding planning. Besides helping thousands of brides find inspiration and the right wedding vendors for their big day(s), her creative strategies have managed to accumulate millions of views and sales for the wedding businesses she has worked with. In just 3 years, she’s worked with some of the most prominent names in the Pakistani wedding industry and created numerous video series which have become distinct to WedWel due to her unconventional approach to content making.

Hunain Raja is the Founder and CEO of Jani Biryani, one of Pakistan’s fastest-growing biryani brands known for its bold flavors and Gen Z appeal. A passionate food and beverage enthusiast, he combines creativity with marketing excellence to build experiences that connect deeply with customers. Hunain is driven by a vision to make Jani Biryani the biggest biryani chain in the world.

Sophia Hasnain is the CEO and Founder of Linked Things (Pvt) Ltd, Pakistan’s leading Industrial IoT and Digital Twin company. An engineer by training, with degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering, she has led pioneering work in IoT and Big Data for smart cities, industry, and energy systems. Under her leadership, Linked Things has expanded to over 75 locations across Pakistan, driving innovation that addresses climate, energy, and water challenges through technology and data-driven solutions.

Mekaeel Malik, an alumnus of the University of Oxford, is the Chief Executive Officer at Climate Finance Pakistan (CFP), a pioneering organization dedicated to addressing Pakistan’s climate-financing gap. After an impressive career at J.P. Morgan in London, he returned to Pakistan with a commitment to apply his international expertise to local, sustainable development. At CFP, he leads the efforts to unlock climate investment by building green ventures, facilitating carbon and climate finance, and driving policy innovation to accelerate the nation’s transition toward a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy, establishing himself as a key architect in Pakistan’s emerging climate-finance ecosystem.

Javeria Faraz is a dynamic leader at the intersection of blockchain, entrepreneurship, and innovation. As Project Manager at Algorand Pakistan, she drives strategic initiatives that bridge blockchain technology with real-world applications, fostering Web3 growth and digital transformation across the country. Beyond her role at Algorand, Javeria Faraz is a Member of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Co-Founder of The Founders Space, and an International Entrepreneurship Award Winner.

Kabeer Naqvi is a seasoned finance professional with over 24 years of experience across banking, Fintech, and corporate finance. Currently serving as Entrepreneur in Residence at Abhi Fintech UAE, he plays a strategic advisory role focused on financial inclusion, innovation, and expansion in Pakistan. In this role, he is working closely with the holding company and bank’s board as a representative of the shareholder, while also serving as a coach and mentor to the management team – helping drive strategic focus and operational excellence on the ground.

Most recently, he led the successful acquisition and transformation of FINCA Microfinance Bank into Abhi Microfinance Bank – a landmark transaction that reimagined a struggling institution into a future-ready platform for financial empowerment. As the principal advisor, Kabeer guided this complex and high-impact deal from inception through execution, marking a pivotal milestone in his own career.

As the former President & CEO of U Microfinance Bank, he spearheaded its transformation into one of Pakistan’s leading microfinance providers. Prior to this, he held leadership roles at Tameer Microfinance Bank (now Easypaisa Digital Bank), Ernst & Young Saudi Arabia, TPL Pakistan, and House of Habib.

A Chartered Accountant, a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), and a Fellow Member of ACCA, Kabeer has also served as Chairman of the Pakistan Microfinance Network, where he championed inclusive financial solutions and led initiatives for sector-wide impact.

Mariam Saleem Malik is a corporate lawyer turned thought leader on the future of money. With 15+ years advising on major deals, she is currently Strategic Counsel at Hafeez Pirzada | Farooq Khan & Mirza, one of Pakistan’s leading law firms. Alongside her practice, Mariam writes in ‘The News’ on blockchain and global crypto trends, blending legal expertise with investor insight. As an advocate for establishing credible digital asset frameworks in Pakistan, Mariam’s expertise encompasses global regulatory models, including Europe’s MiCA, Dubai’s VARA, and the fast-changing U.S. landscape.

Saad Niazi is the co-founder of Keenu, one of Pakistan’s pioneering fintech companies transforming the digital payments landscape. With over 19 years of experience across fintech, banking, and technology, Saad has played a pivotal role in advancing the country’s payment infrastructure and driving financial inclusion.

Under his leadership, Keenu has built one of Pakistan’s largest point-of-sale (POS) networks, empowering thousands of merchants and enabling seamless, secure transactions for millions of consumers nationwide. Renowned for its innovation and reliability, Keenu has become a trusted payments partner across retail, F&B, and service sectors.

At the start of 2025, Keenu received it’s commercial EMI license and later in the year it joined forces with Bazaar Technologies, creating Pakistan’s first integrated e-commerce and payments platform – a defining milestone in the nation’s digital economy.

Parishae Adnan is the founder of House of Parishae, a sustainable couture label that blends conscious craftsmanship with contemporary design. She also serves as the CEO of the House of Amir Adnan, where she leads one of Pakistan’s most established menswear brands into a new era of innovation and global growth. A graduate of the Institute of Business Administration, Parishae combines analytical thinking with creative vision, redefining what it means to be a modern designer and entrepreneur. Hisham Ibrahim is a Managing Director at Gobi Partners, leading early-stage and growth investments across Southeast Asia. He co-founded Amsara, a blockchain startup focused on tokenising real-world assets. Previously, he was with Baring Private Equity Asia (now part of EQT Partners), where he executed deals including the US $1.6 billion sale of Interplex to Blackstone. He also served as Senior Portfolio Manager at Bank Negara Malaysia and held roles at ADV Partners, Navis Capital Partners, PwC, and the Strategic Investment Group. Farhan Anwar is the founder and CEO of Urban Collaborative, a private consultancy aiming to promote narratives and practices of sustainable urban design in Pakistan. Hamza Ghaznavi is the founder of PG Media – the creative force behind ProperGaanda, PGBazaar, and BazaarFest. What began as an activist Facebook page has, through storytelling, community, and an obsessive amount of A/B testing, evolved into a full-blown digital and on-ground media ecosystem. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Pakistan Today, The News, and The Nation. Under Hamza’s leadership, PG Media has grown entirely without external funding. Sustained instead by creative experiments like BazaarFest and Ramazaar, which not only built community but also helped fund ProperGaanda’s pursuit of authentic, independent stories. Much of this evolution, he admits, is directly tied to his boredom and a consistent need to imagine what doesn’t exist yet. Whether it works or not has never been the point; creating something new has.

Mr. Shotbox is a Karachi-based DJ, producer, and multidisciplinary artist pushing the boundaries of Pakistan’s electronic music scene. Through large-scale productions that fuse cutting-edge lighting, fabrication, and sound, he’s redefining how the city experiences music. His collective, Shotbox, and record label, Just Be, champion local artists and promote creative freedom, giving new voices of all arts a platform in the country’s evolving electronic landscape.

At its core, the Shotbox project is about more than music, it’s a cultural reclamation and a renovation of the Arts. It challenges conservative narratives, pushes back against the economy of shame, and offers a creative alternative to the isolation and disillusionment that feed into incel and right-wing cultures. Through art, sound, and community, Mr. Shotbox is reclaiming space and reimagining what freedom and expression can look like in a modern Pakistan today.
