Nadir Shahzad
Filmmaker, Musician
Nadir Shahzad Khan is a Pakistani musician and filmmaker whose work explores how music shapes identity and belonging for Pakistanis at home and abroad. As the frontman of Dulhay Mian and formerly of Sikandar Ka Mandar, Nadir has been at the forefront of Pakistan’s independent music scene, known for his expressive performances and emotionally layered songwriting.
Writing in Urdu but using Western song structures, verse, chorus, bridge, and outro—his music occupies the space between cultures, reflecting the experience of a generation negotiating both global and local influences. His lyrics often explore displacement, love, and urban alienation, giving voice to the questions many Pakistanis face about who they are and where they belong.
As a filmmaker and composer for film, Nadir extends these themes visually, approaching sound as storytelling and using cinema to examine how collective memory and identity are performed.
Through both mediums, he continues to blur boundaries—between East and West, tradition and modernity, home and elsewhere – creating art that resonates with those who find themselves in between.

Hamza Ghaznavi
Founder, PG Media
Hamza Ghaznavi is the founder of PG Media – the creative force behind ProperGaanda, PGBazaar, and BazaarFest. What began as an activist Facebook page has, through storytelling, community, and an obsessive amount of A/B testing, evolved into a full-blown digital and on-ground media ecosystem. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Pakistan Today, The News, and The Nation. Under Hamza’s leadership, PG Media has grown entirely without external funding. Sustained instead by creative experiments like BazaarFest and Ramazaar, which not only built community but also helped fund ProperGaanda’s pursuit of authentic, independent stories. Much of this evolution, he admits, is directly tied to his boredom and a consistent need to imagine what doesn’t exist yet. Whether it works or not has never been the point; creating something new has.
