MANAGING PARTNER, 47 VENTURES
Khurram Zafar is the Managing Partner of 47 Ventures Investments, a Pakistan-focused VC fund with a portfolio comprising of health-tech, retail-tech, mobility, ad-tech and mobile gaming companies.
He founded the Center for Entrepreneurship at LUMS and later raised public funds to scale it into National Incubation Center that scouts, grooms, and connects startup- and micro-entrepreneurs with business partners, mentors and investors.
Khurram is also a member of Prime Minister’s Task Force driving policy-making for Knowledge Economy and a Director at Karandaaz Pakistan, a DFID and Gates Foundation-funded SPV promoting financial inclusion and investments in SMEs.
Previously, he has taught in the LUMS MBA program, advised both Punjab and Federal governments in various capacities, served on the boards of Punjab Pension Fund, Mobilink, IDAP, Aequitas, and HEC Steering Committee for Technology Development Fund and was a CIO at Lahore Stock Exchange. Khurram has also worked/consulted in various capacities with multiple companies in the Silicon Valley and Pakistan comprising of startups, consulting firms, product companies, VC funds, and Fortune 500 enterprises.
