Country Head, Code for Pakistan

Samina Rizwan is passionate about Information Technology, specifically how it can be used to benefit communities. She is also a strong supporter of the local startup ecosystem, investing in early-stage startups tech startups.
Beginning her career 30 years ago as a Systems Analyst for American Security Bank Limited, Samina Rizwan has come a long way!
She has gone on to take charge of vital positions, serving as Director, Information Systems, for Paktel Ltd before joining Oracle in 2001, the organization where she spent the better part of her career. At Oracle, she began as Managing Director, South Asia Growth Economies, managing Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Afghanistan alongside Pakistan. Samina ended her stint with Oracle as VP of Key and Lead Accounts, ASEAN region, handling critical customer accounts.

Alongside her professional endeavors, she is the founder of Rizwan Scholars, sponsoring tertiary education scholarships. She also serves on the board of Khushali Bank Ltd., USAID’s Competitiveness Support Fund, and figures part of the Board of Governors of FMTI PIMS, Islamabad.
Currently, Samina serves as Country Head at Code for Pakistan, building support for civic-tech initiatives and scaling engagement with government partners, civil society alliances, and funding agencies.
