Mr. Shotbox is a Karachi-based DJ, producer, and multidisciplinary artist pushing the boundaries of Pakistan’s electronic music scene. Through large-scale productions that fuse cutting-edge lighting, fabrication, and sound, he’s redefining how the city experiences music. His collective, Shotbox, and record label, Just Be, champion local artists and promote creative freedom, giving new voices of all arts a platform in the country’s evolving electronic landscape.
At its core, the Shotbox project is about more than music, it’s a cultural reclamation and a renovation of the Arts. It challenges conservative narratives, pushes back against the economy of shame, and offers a creative alternative to the isolation and disillusionment that feed into incel and right-wing cultures. Through art, sound, and community, Mr. Shotbox is reclaiming space and reimagining what freedom and expression can look like in a modern Pakistan today.
