Jahanzeb Safder Khawaja

Jahanzeb is the founder of Karachi Community Radio, a creative director, and technologist. Through his work he has produced, programmed, and premeditated many trends in hybrid audio-visual production. He has won the Mozilla Builders OpenLab Award for producing Boiler Room Pakistan, and has programmed the first fully 3D Meta Human music video using Unreal Engine in Pakistan. He has also archived and produced over 100+ contemporary and traditional artists across mediums, championing community and experimentation in a city lacking opportunity at the intersection of arts and technology.

Jahanzeb has previously represented KCR at the Victoria and Albert Museum as part of the “My East Is Your West” event. In 2017, he received Pakistan’s Creative Future award by UNESCO. His creative work has been displayed at Haus der Statistik (Germany), IVS Gallery (PK), VM Gallery (PK), and Karachi Biennale 2022 (PK). His contribution towards technology, music and culture has been covered by various international and local publications such as Redbull.com, Resident Advisor, Mixmag (UK and Asia), Wire (UK), DJmag International, Wild Mag, Arab News, Dawn.com, and others.
