Kabeer Naqvi

Kabeer Naqvi is a seasoned finance professional with over 24 years of experience across banking, Fintech, and corporate finance. Currently serving as Entrepreneur in Residence at Abhi Fintech UAE, he plays a strategic advisory role focused on financial inclusion, innovation, and expansion in Pakistan. In this role, he is working closely with the holding company and bank’s board as a representative of the shareholder, while also serving as a coach and mentor to the management team – helping drive strategic focus and operational excellence on the ground.

Most recently, he led the successful acquisition and transformation of FINCA Microfinance Bank into Abhi Microfinance Bank – a landmark transaction that reimagined a struggling institution into a future-ready platform for financial empowerment. As the principal advisor, Kabeer guided this complex and high-impact deal from inception through execution, marking a pivotal milestone in his own career.

As the former President & CEO of U Microfinance Bank, he spearheaded its transformation into one of Pakistan’s leading microfinance providers. Prior to this, he held leadership roles at Tameer Microfinance Bank (now Easypaisa Digital Bank), Ernst & Young Saudi Arabia, TPL Pakistan, and House of Habib.

A Chartered Accountant, a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), and a Fellow Member of ACCA, Kabeer has also served as Chairman of the Pakistan Microfinance Network, where he championed inclusive financial solutions and led initiatives for sector-wide impact.

He works between Pakistan and the USA, bringing a global perspective to his leadership and advisory roles.
