Maha is the CEO of Zero-Point Partners, an advisory & consulting firm focused on enabling the transition to a sustainable economy. She has +15 years of experience in environmental management, environmental, social & governance (ESG) strategy, and climate finance. Maha advises clients on greenhouse gas emissions accounting, decarbonization, corporate sustainability strategy and disclosure.
She is a faculty member of the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and has designed and conducted ESG capacity-building workshops for Board members and executive leadership teams. Previously, Maha was the Country Advisor Pakistan to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation providing strategic support for their climate change, poverty alleviation, nutrition, health and financial inclusion portfolio. She also advises financial institutions and corporations on accessing climate finance including Green Climate Fund accreditation and carbon credits. Prior to this, Maha worked for Engro Corporation on diverse environmental and social impact initiatives.
Maha has written extensively about climate & sustainability and co-authored a paper on Energy Security in Pakistan and another on Green Finance in Pakistan for the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI). She serves on the Leadership Council of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network- Pakistan. She also serves on the Board of the Global Youth Leadership Council, an international non-profit that engages youth in climate action. Maha has a Master’s in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Environment and a BSE in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Princeton University.
