Umar Qamar is a pioneer of Pakistan’s eCommerce industry. He founded elo (Export Leftovers) in 2013 as a two-person operation in a small meeting room inside his father’s garment factory in Faisalabad. What began as a modest startup has since grown into one of the largest and fastest-growing online retail brands in Pakistan, employing over 300 people and serving millions of customers nationwide. Under his leadership, elo has also expanded into brick-and-mortar retail with two flagship stores and was recently recognized among Pakistan’s Top 100 Startups.
Umar holds an M.A (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh and an M.Sc in Marketing Strategy from Cass Business School, London.
